Hi Tesia - am enjoying your blog. Have been reading an awesome book about color that is quite the page turner (no pun intended)that you would love - "Color: A natural history of the palette" by Victoria Finley. She writes about how Turner insisted on using fugitive reds because he didn't care about longevity and at that time there were few stable reds. She travels the world literally digging up color history and is just a delightful writer. Am looking forward to a "faux" encaustic class with you soon? hopefully in Sacramento. Do let me know.
